I finally got prints of most of my new paintings in my etsy shop. I have a few more that will be added later this evening. Happy, happy weekend!

replenished stock
A much needed package arrivied today with some more postcards. I have been waiting patiently for them to zig zag accross the country, be delivered to the wrong side of the country and then finally arrive. I now also have these nice little bonus prints to be included with each order, I just love his crooked tie!
Five Senses Friday
feeling, tired after going riding for the first time in a few weeks
tasting, morning smoothies made by my daughter
hearing, my dog whining endlessly because the kids are playing in the front yard without him
smelling, our lilacs are blooming, yay spring!
seeing, lots of work in my near future (and seriously, check out the eyes on that lady above, so pretty)
lusting after…

Daydreaming
I still have a sicky on the couch, but I’m kicking him out tomorrow. He probably should have gone back to school today, but is enjoying himself too much me thinks, and played it up this morning. So in between taking care of him and working, I’ve been dreaming about these:
converting our garage into a little studio like this one via Canadian House and Home. (by the way, do you hear that? that is my husband laughing, hard)
the latest great offering at the Working Proof
down to an art
Anthro has it down. I got this adorable birthday card with the candle necklace and coupon the other day. Seriously, right?

My Monday View
THE most beautiful dogwood branches my parents gave me for Easter and a lot of art waiting ever so patiently to finally be hung up.
Five senses Friday
So Abby has been doing this for quite a while and I thought I’d give it a go! Five senses Friday was started years ago by her friend, Shari Altman. She takes Friday to reflect on what the past days have been like.
smelling: well not a whole lot actually (blasted cold)
seeing: patterns and beauty in unlikely places. I love the shapes at the end of this huge roll of fabric I plan on recovering a couch with.
tasting: the Easter candy that I bought for the kids baskets and have been sneaking
hearing: birds building a nest right outside my window
feeling: excited to start some new paintings and to finish some old ones
spring break
The kiddos are home this week on spring break, which means posting will be sparse and I will be busy trying to work and play peacemaker at the same time. See you next week!
happy friday!
Today I am jumping for the first time since starting back into horseback riding. Wish me luck! (but not break a leg, cause well, I don’t want to. or an arm for that matter) Tonight I will be at the Playground screening, hope you will too!

Mr. or Ms. Postmaster
20×200 has the BEST shipping labels. I love the ‘Mr. or Ms. Postmaster please for the love of art do not bend!’ I need to do something like this, because apparently even though I stamp all my packages with a ‘please do not bend’ every so often, they do.
a night away
J and I went downtown for the night to celebrate our anniversary. We had a great time. Loved the little library with a pool table and bits of art scattered throughout. It’s amazing how just one night away from your ‘everyday’ can recharge your perspective.
i want these shoes
and i’ll take the view, too. I’m seeing a yellow trend in my life lately…

happy anniversary J!
no wall flower here
Holly spotted these flowers yesterday apparently trying to make a statement. Several pink flowers have sprung up on a bush of yellow flowers in our yard, and they are of a completely different variety. They share the same stem/branch as the yellow ones. Strange and beautiful, no?
double digits, baby!
My daughter enters the world of double digit age this week. My first thought: what? My second thought: wow, I must be getting really old!
Happy Birthday Holls!
white wash
I am repainting our entry and kitchen. I do just a small section a day, it feels less overwhelming that way. (I take a break from painting to paint, hmm) It also forces me do some spring cleaning as I go, always a good thing. My daughter, usually one to protest any change to the house, walked in and said “white! it’s so clean and fresh!” Ah, she is definitely a girl after my own heart.
