business cards

I’ve never really had business cards as such, instead always had postcards.   So, I finally decided to make some up.  There is definitely an advantage to them, small, portable, easy to always have tucked in my wallet/bag.  Here is what I came up with.  One side is clean and simple, my info.  The other side I adhered canvas printed with a section of one of my paintings.

an early snow

We got a small dusting of snow here, the earliest I can remember ever having any.  Perfect for staying in.  The kids are off of school and have spent the last day sequestered upstairs building an elaborate castle out cardboard, allowing me to stay busy working on portraits and prep for the Martha Stewart holiday sale.

I just added some of my new mini prints to my etsy store.  They measure 5″x5″, the actual image is 4″x4″.  I also put my limited edition of 10 each prints, of three of my most popular paintings, All Together, Girl in the Yellow Suit, and In the Depths .  They measure 24″x36″ with the image measuring 23″X23″.  They turned out just beautiful!

back to real life

This past weeken at Little Winter was just really special.  Abby and Chelsea created the most magical market I’ve ever seen, filled with the nicest people selling the most beautiful items.  It was table after table of goodness.   I met so many people and can only say good things about the entire weekend.  Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hi!  I didn’t take many photos, but made sure my husband took the kids by the Ace Hotel photo booth.  Also, the biggest thanks to Cara for hanging with my the whole weekend!  The photo of us was taken by Jordan and her jealous worthy camera.  This little video by Anja Verdugo, captured the event perfectly, I think.

the art of display

I’ve been having fun planning all the little details for my little winter table.  I already had most of what I need, but I got this amazing bee hive string dispenser on etsy recently (here).  So, now I will be wrapping up paintings that are purchased with some brown paper and string!

Music for your Monday

I had the wonderful pleasure of receiving an email from singer Ashley Toussant recently and I am now a fan of her work.  I love the internet, little connections that happen, introductions to art, music and people that would not have otherwise known.  Go check out her charming website that is nearly as charming as her music!
