I’ve never really had business cards as such, instead always had postcards. So, I finally decided to make some up. There is definitely an advantage to them, small, portable, easy to always have tucked in my wallet/bag. Here is what I came up with. One side is clean and simple, my info. The other side I adhered canvas printed with a section of one of my paintings.

Between working on portrait orders, I’ve gotten a few new little paintings done to take to nyc this week. Here’s a peek!

Oh, and to my US readers, Happy Thanksgiving!
I just added some more original paintings to my etsy store!
We got a small dusting of snow here, the earliest I can remember ever having any. Perfect for staying in. The kids are off of school and have spent the last day sequestered upstairs building an elaborate castle out cardboard, allowing me to stay busy working on portraits and prep for the Martha Stewart holiday sale.

Thank you, thank you to everyone who voted!!! I am so excited to go to New York in just three short weeks. I will only have part of one day to really explore but if you have any good tips, please pass them on. I’ve never been to New York in December, so can’t wait. If you’re in New York please stop by on Dec. 4 and say hi, here is all the info on the sale.
Also, I am still taking orders for portraits for the holidays, so get your orders in soon!
Thank you again, the support I received from friends new and old as well as from my customers has meant so much.
I just added some of my new mini prints to my etsy store. They measure 5″x5″, the actual image is 4″x4″. I also put my limited edition of 10 each prints, of three of my most popular paintings, All Together, Girl in the Yellow Suit, and In the Depths . They measure 24″x36″ with the image measuring 23″X23″. They turned out just beautiful!
I am so thrilled to have been included in the December issue of Martha Stewart Living, in the holiday gift guide. It is on the stands now and my portrait sketches are on pg. 54!
(also, stay tuned for a big update later today in my etsy shop!)
This past weeken at Little Winter was just really special. Abby and Chelsea created the most magical market I’ve ever seen, filled with the nicest people selling the most beautiful items. It was table after table of goodness. I met so many people and can only say good things about the entire weekend. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hi! I didn’t take many photos, but made sure my husband took the kids by the Ace Hotel photo booth. Also, the biggest thanks to Cara for hanging with my the whole weekend! The photo of us was taken by Jordan and her jealous worthy camera. This little video by Anja Verdugo, captured the event perfectly, I think.
Ok, first for the THANK YOU to everyone who came out to little winter today. It was so much fun to meet everyone. There are so so many beautiful items, if you didn’t make it today, stop by tomorrow!
And now for the PLEASE (oh pretty, pretty, pretty please) I just found out I am up for a spot at the Martha Stewart holiday show next month in the MS offices. The five artist/crafters that receive the most votes will have a table at this sure to be amazing event. Please vote and spread the word!
So Little Winter is finally here, I hope to see you there! Oh and you are invited to the pre-little winter party at west elm tonight. Here’s all the info for both events!

I’ve been having fun planning all the little details for my little winter table. I already had most of what I need, but I got this amazing bee hive string dispenser on etsy recently (here). So, now I will be wrapping up paintings that are purchased with some brown paper and string!
I am now offering several limited edition prints that will make their debut at little winter and then I will be putting them in my etsy store. I’m really excited to be offering a limited edition of 10 24″x36″ (image size of 23″x23″) prints of ‘Girl in the Yellow Suit,” “In the Depths” and “All Together,” as well as limited editions of several as 10″x10″. Also, I am going to do mini prints of all the little 4″x4″ paintings. So, lots of new things (and busy nights for me ahead)!
Does it get much better than this?
I am finishing up all the prep for little winter!
I had the wonderful pleasure of receiving an email from singer Ashley Toussant recently and I am now a fan of her work. I love the internet, little connections that happen, introductions to art, music and people that would not have otherwise known. Go check out her charming website that is nearly as charming as her music!
