loads of new work
Ah, a quiet house. After a crazy week of spring break with the kids I am so ready to finish the huge pile of *almost* done work. The hardest parts, or maybe I should say slowest parts, of the process of painting for me is putting down those first layers and the last bits of polish. They will sit there 95% done for weeks until I finally sit down and take the last step and make that commitment to completing it. So…with this gorgeously quiet house, and some guilt for leaving them sad and unfinished, and an event coming up I want new work for, I plan to finish and share a ton of new paintings in the coming days.
I shared these previously. They were very close to complete then, but here they are truly completed.

A new set of postcards arrived today (I always include one or two with each order). I plan on creating a larger one in the very near future (sort of a free mini print) with no text on the image to include as well as I always love receiving little extras with orders.

I’m moving slowly after the three day weekend, but I did manage to add the ‘mind your manners’ print to my etsy shop. I woke up on Valentine’s day to my own little cupid and was ‘shot’ with an arrow that held my valentine (aka daughter dressed son up as cupid, complete with feathers and bow and arrow) and received these from hubby. Chocolate and Pride and Predjudice, you can’t go wrong.

Small Magazine
So delighted to see the new issue of small magazine in my inbox this morning! I contributed several paintings to the issue and it was so fun! Phew! Yesterday I took down one show and hung another. I now have some paintings down at Little Urbanites in the Pearl District. So I am adding several originals to my etsy shop. The days are beginning to blend together now that we don’t have a school schedule to follow. Luckily, J has the week off, so I’m trying to get lots done while I have the chance. With father’s day orders to finish, I definitely needed the help. I also added some new prints to the shop this morning, so please take a look!
