before they were gone

I noticed these (flowers?) in the backyard yesterday being blown to bits by the wind storm we had and decided to save them.  Aren’t they beautiful?

    I think they’re called Texas Grass. I cut some from my yard and placed them in small terra cotta pots for our Thanksgiving table centerpiece. Just lovely!
